When you uninstall the Facile Forms software with the installers of Mambo and Joomla, there will be some fragments remaining in the database. For example the tables created by both Facile Forms itself as well as any forms will not get removed automaticly. Also on some older releases of Facile Forms, backend menu's created with the Facile Forms backend menu manager will remain in the database.
So to do a clean uninstall, follow this checklist:
- Go to Components - Facile Forms - Manage Backend Menus
- Switch to the Samples package
- Select all menu items by clicking the checkbox left to the heading Menu Item
- Click either the Unpublish or the Delete button
- Repeat the previous steps for all other packages including the blank package
- Uninstall the Facile Forms component, module and mambot with the Joomla/Mambo installers
- Run phpMyAdmin to manually remove the Facile Forms tables (jos_facileforms_* or mos_facileforms_*)
- Delete tables created by other forms based on Facile. Consult documentation of the respective packages about what tables they are creating.
If you allready uninstalled Facile Forms before reading this howto, and now have remaining backend menu items, the recommended way is to reinstall the Facile Forms component and then follow the checklist above. It need not be the same release that you had installed before, so if you have lost the installation files just download and install the latest component release for this purpose.
